Southern Cogen Systems Pvt. Ltd., founded in 2001 in Chennai, India in the principle business of manufacturing and seling waste water products for India. INCREASED EFFICIENCY OF BIOGAS DIGESTERS

Biogas digesters in the OECD countries are based on sewage and biomass, and mostly in large scale. In India, biogas digesters are installed at a household level or biogas is fed to a small village for cooking purposes. These digesters work on low efficiency. In India , most of the large biogas digester plants work in distilleries. Distilleries in India are either molasses-based or grain-based and the effluent is taken into biogas digesters. The anaerobic process produces biogas and the slurry is treated in the ETP. The efficiency of such large anaerobic digesters can be improved by up to 50%.
